Dr Benjamin Apap has a degree in a Bachelor of Applied Science (Complimentary Medicine), a Masters of Clinical Chiropractic and is a member of the Chiropractic Association of Australia. He has experience in wide range of chiropractic techniques with a particular focus in low-force adjusting techniques that are gentle, safe and effective for patients of all ages. In addition, secondary modalities are often used with his treatments, which include massage, dry needling and mobilisation.

Benjamin is passionate about helping his patients understand the root cause of their injury, allowing them to appreciate the importance of spinal health to prevent other problems in the future. He believes in the combination of regular chiropractic care, exercise, a healthy diet and relaxation to help achieve optimal health and wellbeing.

Dr Julia is a graduate of RMIT University with a double degree in Bachelor of Health Science and Bachelor of Applied Science (Chiropractic). Julia is passionate about communicating the chiropractic message of spinal health and its impact on greater health. She enjoys watching families thrive in creating an educational environment that empowers people to ask great questions about their health. Julia is excited about encouraging others to take an active role in improving their wellbeing.

Dr Julia has particular interest in the benefits of chiropractic care during pregnancy, and in managing neck pain, headaches and migraines. She values the multimodal advantage chiropractic care can offer; not only in relation to spinal health, but also in common condition of the extremities (e.g. shoulder, elbow, wrist, ankle, foot). Julia incorporates a balance of joint, muscle and nervous system in her care, whilst also appreciating the value simple/noninvasive rehabilitative tools can support treatment outcomes and goals.

Julia incorporates a range of chiropractic techniques including manual, low force and mobilisation skills. Each offers safe and gentle chiropractic adjustments that are appropriate in all stages of life, and individualised to consider pre-existing conditions. She supports a collaborative space in deciding which techniques offer the most comfort, and takes pride in contributing to your health journey.

Dr Matt Barton has been a practicing chiropractor since graduating from RMIT with a Bachelor of Health Science and Bachelor of Applied Science – Chiropractic in 2020. 
 
Dr Matt’s person-centred approach and focus on holistic care, has led him to having a special interest in caring for those with chronic pain. Being able to assist patients in improving their pain and mobility, brings a strong sense of fulfillment in bettering these patients’ quality of life and overall health. 
 
Dr Matt employs a range of therapeutic techniques including gentle and effective manual joint manipulation/ mobilisation, trigger point and deep tissue therapy as well as utilising activator adjustments.
 
When Dr Matt is not in the clinic, you will find him busy rock climbing, staying active and out exploring with his dog Charlie. Dr Matt is a footy fanatic; you will be hard pressed to find him not up to date on all the latest AFL games!

Magda is a registered psychologist with a Masters of Psychology with endorsements of educational and developmental psychology’ and ‘counselling psychology’ with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Magda has had the opportunity to practice as a psychologist in a vast range of settings and has experience providing intervention for children, adolescents, and adults. Magda has experience in treating a range of mental health issues across the life span such as anxiety, depression and other mood disorders, stress-related problems, self-esteem, developmental, learning, and behavioural difficulties, intellectual disability, post-traumatic stress disorder, attachment and trauma-related disorders, grief, and adjustment. Magda follows a person-cantered and strength-based approach utilizing a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Preferred modalities are Emotional Freedom Technique and Hypnotherapy. Magda also speaks Afrikaans fluently.

Nachu has completed a Bachelor of Applied Science and Masters of Physiotherapy Practice at Latrobe University in 2018. She has worked in private clinics and has a strong interest in the management of orthopaedic injuries, women's health conditions including pre and post-natal musculoskeletal conditions, spinal and chronic pain conditions utilising a combination of exercise prescription and manual therapy. Nachu undertook further training in DMA pilates (level 1), Neuromuscular Dry Needling (level 1) and women's health physiotherapy to enhance my skills.

Nachu believes that being a physiotherapist is not merely about helping clients be injury free, rather it is about taking a holistic approach by addressing the clients’ overall health and wellbeing, providing them with the tools and the knowledge to manage their complaints effectively.

Dr Maila has special interests in Chronic Care Management, Preventative Medicine and Wellness, Mental Health, Women’s and Children’s Health, Geriatrics and Counselling. Maila completed her Medical and Family Medicine Degrees in the Philippines. She then moved to Singapore and completed her Diploma in Family Medicine at University of Singapore. She has over ten years of practice in Singapore in General Practice, Geriatrics and Rehabilitation. She then migrated to Melbourne, after over a year of practice in Sydney, and has been practicing in Australia for over 5 years. She recently became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Dr Maila enjoys eating out and travelling interstate and overseas with her family.

Kristine has been providing patient-centred podiatric care since she graduated La Trobe University, having completed the Bachelor of Applied Science/ Master of Podiatric Practice. In addition to this, she is a member of the Australian Podiatry Association and continues to develops her podiatry skills and knowledge through further learning and keeping up to date with recently published podiatry findings.

Kristine strives to provide thorough, evidence-based treatments with attention to detail to ensure all concerns are covered and patients' needs are met. Kristine has an interest in all aspects of Podiatry, with a particular interest in lower limb pathologies. She enjoys assisting clients in their return back to sports post injury. In addition to this, Kristine understands the importance of the Diabetic foot and the implementation of management plans to ensure the maintenance of a healthy foot status. She also has a keen interest in general foot care, nail care and management of painful conditions including ingrown nails and skin pathologies.

Natalie is our newest member to join the Glengala Health Team. Natalie graduated with a dual qualification- A diploma of Remedial Massage and an Advanced Diploma of Sports Therapy and has qualifications in cupping and dry needling. She specialises in joint mobilisations, functional movement, rehabilitation and pain management.

Natalie is quite active, having coached and played competitive tennis from a very young age and has previously worked in all levels of football with Melbourne Football Club, Northern Blues Football Club and currently a head trainer at her local Football Club. She prides herself on building a strong relationship with each and every one of her clients so that they will be treated in the very best way possible and work closely together to eliminate presenting issue.

Kellie is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and a member of Dietitian’s Australia, with a personal understanding of the challenges of an unhealthy relationship with food that drives her passion for nutrition.

Working across both clinical and private practice settings, Kellie has developed a strong interest in gut and renal health. However, she also provides nutrition support for a wide range of conditions including nutrient deficiencies, diabetes, weight management and vegetarian or vegan dietary support among others.

She is committed to delivering evidenced-based, individualised holistic care, approaching her work with compassion, empathy and collaboration. Recognising that making dietary changes can be overwhelming, Kellie works closely with her clients to show that simple changes can lead to positive, sustainable outcomes while maintaining their quality of life.

Maree has experience in treating a range of mental health issues across the life span such as depression, anxiety/stress, and other mood disorders, personality disorders, drug, alcohol, and gambling addictions, eating disorders, self-esteem and body issues, and also grief related counselling. Maree has also had experience working with children who display a range of psychological difficulties, adjustment disorders, attachment disorders, trauma related disorders, and developmental disorders such as Autism and/or ADHD.
